From The Acting Principal Week 10

Dear Families,

A lot of talking happens in a school, but hopefully, there is even more listening. Communication is central to our existence as human beings. As spiritual beings, our communication with God is essential for our wholeness. The most obvious form of communication with God is through prayer, which is about building a relationship specifically, with God.

A treasured prayer in our Catholic Tradition is the Rosary, and next month, October, is dedicated to emphasizing the Rosary. The Rosary is a reflection of the life of Jesus. The more we learn about these stories and contemplate the mystery of God becoming human, the more we can understand and appreciate God's presence in our lives. The Rosary offers an intimate insight into God’s extraordinary love and compassion.

During the holidays (Monday, 7th October), we will celebrate the Feast of the Rosary. Prayer is essential to deepening our relationship with God, and Mary serves as our model for prayer. Praying the Rosary in her company can guide us toward personal fulfillment and unity with God.

Footy Fever Day!

We are celebrating ‘Footy Fever Day’ on Friday 27th September. Students are encouraged to dress in their team’s footy colours or ‘sporting’ attire. Please remember to supply a block of chocolate if in Year 1- 6 and Kinder a bag of lollies. These items will go towards our Fete next term. Thank you for your support with this.

Extravaganza

What an outstanding effort from our Extravaganza team to produce four wonderful performances over the past week. I extend a heartfelt and warm thank you to everybody involved in making this year's Extravaganza performance such a great success.

The list of thanks is very long, as the performance is a result of an amazing and unique cooperative spirit, within the proud and beautiful landscape of St Clare of Assisi.

To the staff, huge thanks for taking a basic idea and turning it into a wonderful performance. Thank you for organising dances, rehearsing, planning and organising props. More importantly thank you for giving the students the opportunity to shine.

To the parents, grandparents and friends – thank you for attending our performance, for without your encouragement and support this would not have been possible.

Finally, to the performers, every member of our school community could not be prouder than we are of you all. You have done an amazing job to bring the story and show to life. Your enthusiasm for performing has been infectious and there was a real buzz amongst you last week! Well done children we are ALL so very proud of you!

A Big Shout out to Staff

On behalf of the children and their families I thank each staff member for their efforts during the term. I continue to be impressed with and thankful for the dedication and care shown by all the staff at St Clare of Assisi. Your children are definitely in good hands.

School resumes for Term Four on Monday 14th October. Enjoy some special time with your family these holidays.
