Smiggles Match Report

The Smiggles have had an outstanding start to the season. The team has really been working on their skills and adjusting to the year 4 rules, focussing on our spacing and really planting their feet. We were so thrilled that we didn’t get called for stepping once during our most recent game which was a hard fought match that really needed all girls to bring their enthusiasm and energy to the court. We left our run a little late otherwise it would have been a different result for sure and well done to our defensive players for keeping the game within 2 goals. Our team really is about the families as well and it’s so great to have a massive and very loud cheer squad every week to support the girls.  

Little Skittles Match Report

The Little Skittles played TCS Fireworks on Saturday. It was a tough match for our Little Skittles but they never stopped trying or smiling. We spent a lot of time in the first half of the game defending the TCS goal circle. As the game went on you could see improvement in passing and moving around to get the ball. We were working hard on our one on one defence and did really well with getting our hands up. In the second half we managed to get the ball into our goal circle a few times and our movement down the court was progressing. We also had some great intercepts.

This is the first year of netball for our Little Skittles and we are so impressed with their enthusiasm every week! Keep up the hard work girls, we think you are all superstars!!
