RE News Week 6
Recently, I attended the CE REC Network day, where we were reminded by Archbishop Christopher Prowse about the importance of allowing ourselves to be open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We explored an article by Clara Geoghegan about Discerning Spiritual Gifts and the importance of allowing ourselves opportunities to do this. You can visit this website to continue to deepen your own understanding of discerning spiritual gifts and the Year of the Holy Spirit https://www.yearofholyspirit.org.au/ or pray the prayer on the back of the bookmark that students were provided:
Prayer to the Holy Spirit for the Archdiocese
O God, who by the light
of the Holy Spirit,
did instruct the hearts
of the faithful,
Grant that by the same
Holy Spirit we may be
truly wise and ever rejoice
in his consolations.
Through the same
Christ our Lord
Baptism
Congratulations to Roman and Joshua B who were baptised into our faith community last weekend. May they continue to feel the loving presence of God, walking with them.

Corpus Christi Parish Advent Program will be offered this year on Monday nights, 27 November and 4, 11 and 18 December at 7pm-8.15pm in Holy Family Church Gowrie. The program will draw on the Archdiocese of Brisbane’s resource, With Expectant Hearts. The evenings will comprise some singing, scripture, prayer, quiet time, a short discussion in small groups and supper. Please email the parish office if you wish to join the program so they can order sufficient resources - tuggeranongsouth@cg.org.au or there is a sign on sheet in the foyer of the Holy Family Church.
Have a fabulous week and see you at the Fete!
