RE News Week 8
This Sunday’s Gospel, Matthew 18:15-20, connects with us as true disciples of Christ. We are faced with conflict or dispute. When disputes rupture relationships, it is the Church that is weakened; when relationships are healed, it is the Church that is built up. What is ultimately at stake is the presence of Jesus in the Church: when reconciliation takes place and where two or three gather in his name, Jesus is 'in the midst of them.' We connect this with the children who will receive the Eucharist for the first time at Masses this weekend. May they experience the safety and comfort of God’s love, as they receive the greatest gift of all!
