RE News Week 4
Feast of St Clare of Assisi
We are thrilled to acknowledge the feast day of our patron saint, St Clare of Assisi, this Friday 11th August. We will begin with Mass in our Hall at 9:15am and parents/carers are most welcome to join us. After this, we will celebrate with a shared morning tea, and gather to listen to Simon Carroll, from Global School Partners, speak about his missionary work. Then, students will live their own mission, by gardening and planting seeds across our school grounds before participating in a special 'St Clare's' Circle of Support session, run by our wonderful Year 6 students. Your child will bring home a sunflower seed, to bring this special Feast Day into the home. I encourage you to ask them about who St Clare is, and why she is special to our school.
May Almighty God Bless you
May He look upon you with the eyes
of His Mercy and give you His peace.
Here below may He pour forth
His graces on you abundantly
and in heaven may He place you
among His saints.
~St. Clare of Assisi
Happy Feast of St Clare to you and your family.

Next Tuesday, is the Feast of the Assumption. Year 1 will lead a liturgy to recognise this at 2pm in our Hall. Parents and carers are most welcome to join us for this.
