RE News Week 9
This Sunday, we celebrate Palm Sunday. On Palm Sunday, we acknowledge the Jewish people at that time, who were desperate for a new leader; a leader who would give them freedom, and restore their independence and dignity. Jesus came to be a leader but not one who received accolades. Not a king who wore a crown, but a man who focused on being there for the vulnerable, showing compassion and kindness and who prayed readily. This week, as we take up our palm and follow Jesus, let us remember the suffering and perseverance Jesus experienced on the road to Good Friday. We thank God for bringing Jesus to us, so that we may have life to the fullest.
Holy Week Liturgies:
Next Tuesday, our Kinders, Year 1 and Years 2 will lead the school in our Holy Week Liturgy. The liturgy will begin at 10:15am sharp. Parents are welcome to join us in the Hall. On Thursday, all classes will process through the Stations of the Cross.
Next week will be our last week of the Project Compassion fundraiser. If you have any spare change, all classes have a box for you to donate.
