Swifts Match Report
Saturday morning was cold and warming up was a high priority. With only seven players this week, the girls had to be on fire. And they were. With red hot attack and tight defence, the Swifts played an excellent game, defeating Trinity Christian School 26-6. It was great to see the girls running into space, making clear breaks and defending well. Our defence has improved immensely this season, with the other team being called for held ball a number of times. Well done girls. I look forward to our next game
Smurfs Match Report
Another game down as we head towards the end of the season. The girls skills and team play is really coming along. This week was very cold out on the court and we struggled to keep fingers warm, but the girls stayed strong and made it through with some great plays down the court. While we didn’t come away with a win on the scoreboard the girls worked well and supported each other. We had a great show of sportsman-ship with a couple of the girls filling in positions on the court for the other team who were down 2 players at one stage.
Great work, Smurfs! Keep it up.
