11am on Friday 11 November marks the anniversary of the Armistice in 1918 that saw an end to the devastation of World War I.  On this day we pause to remember and give thanks to those who have served in all conflicts, and especially those who gave their lives for our nation.  

This year we will commemorate Remembrance Day with a prayer liturgy hosted by Year 6,  followed by a minute’s silence.  

We have several families here at SCA with parents serving, or who have previously served, in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as well as many families whose relatives have served in past conflicts.  

We thank these families for their service, and we recognise the courage and resilience that our own SCA Defence students show in supporting their ADF parents.
