Term 3 Theme
This term we continue to focus on flourishing. Students will learn how they can flourish as learners and work towards flourishing in everything they do.
NAIDOC Week
This week we celebrate NAIDOC week at school. NAIDOC week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
First Eucharist
Parents and carers of Catholic students in Year 5 are reminded to enrol your child to celebrate this sacrament via the parish QKR app.
- Enrolments close this coming Monday 25 July.
- Next Wednesday 27 July OR Thursday 28 July parents/carers of enroled students are required to attend the Parent Formation evening at Holy Family church from 6:45-7:45pm.
- The Eucharist Parent and Child sessions in September have had a change of date. Students and parents/carers are required to attend the session either on Wednesday 7th or Thursday 8th September. from 6:30 - 7pm.
Feast Week
St Clare's Feast day is celebrated on 11 August. Our school traditionally celebrates by having a Feast Week. During Feast week this year - week 4, there will be lots of celebrations and activities to honour our patron saint and celebrate our wonderful school community. There will be more information to come, but families may wish to start planning for our 'S' dress up day. Save the date and have your costumes ready for Week 4.
Grandparents Day
This year we had scheduled to have Grandparents Day on Friday 16 September. Unfortunately, due to Covid Restrictions that have been introduced by Catholic Education this week, we will not be able to go ahead with welcoming our Grandparents onto site. We will still acknowledge our Grandparents in a special way and look forward to the day when we can again welcome visitors to our school.
