Term 2 Theme

Our theme for term 2 is 'Flourishing in Faith'. We will investigate how we can grow closer to God by nourishing our faith - through prayer, meditation, reading the Bible, attending Church, living as Jesus taught us to, and Stewardship. In these ways we flourish. 

Easter Season

Did you know that Easter is not just a day? Easter is a whole season of eight Sundays that lasts from Easter Sunday until Pentecost Sunday. During this time, we celebrate the Spirit of Christ in the church as the presence of Jesus' work ongoing in the world. During this Easter Season, we reflect upon Jesus' message of what is truly the 'Heart of the Matter' in our lives.

Catholic Schools Week

Next week, week 2, marks Catholic Schools Week. At SCA we will celebrate with something simple for each day of the week. Please see the timetable below.

Monday: Students and teachers will participate in a class activity - What my school means to me. Keep a look out on our Facebook page for examples of work from each grade level 

• Tuesday: Whole school outdoor mass - we will celebrate Mass together as a Catholic school
• Wednesday: Open morning - SCA opens our doors for prospective students and families to take a tour of our excellent school
• Thursday: Athletics Carnival - we are looking forward to a terrific day of fun and sports together
• Friday: We will gather together in grade levels for a picnic lunch on the oval. Students are invited to bring a blanket to sit on. Parents may wish to pop a special treat into lunch boxes.
