SCA Rays of Light

At St Clare of Assisi, we are all striving to live like our patron Saint, Clare. We aim to do this through our four school ‘Rays of Light’, which are:

· Community,

· Faith,

· Learning and

· Leadership.

On Friday our Year 6 students and teachers led the school in an online liturgy to develop our understanding of how we can flourish as a community. During the liturgy, each class planted seeds as a symbol representing the potential in all of us for growth throughout the year ahead.

Youth Minister 2022

Hi, my name is Osley, and I am the St Clare of Assisi Youth Minister for 2022. To introduce myself, I come from a loving family and have a strong faith background. A fun fact about me is I have a pet rabbit named Peter.

I am looking forward to being a part of the school and accompanying the kids in their faith journey. I am excited to be working with the Yr 6 faith leaders and helping them with Confirmation, as well as assisting the Yr 5s with their First Eucharist and the Yr 4s with Reconciliation. This week I am taking part in the Journey with Jesus retreat with the Year 6 students; the retreat is a good way for me to connect with the kids.

I look forward to being a part of the SCA community throughout the year ahead.

Opening School Mass

This Friday at 11:30am the school will participate in our opening school mass. Fr James and Fr Josh will concelebrate the mass together with the Year 6 students present with them. All other classes will celebrate via Microsoft teams in their classrooms.

We pray that the year ahead will be a fruitful one in which our whole community can flourish together. We also pray that at some stage we can gather together as a whole school community in the presence of one another for our liturgical celebrations.
