Thursday 24th October 2019
Dear Parents and Care Givers,
As you are aware our Year Three students are currently preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As part of this preparation we will be holding a Reconciliation Retreat Day. We believe that this Retreat Day is an integral part of their preparation for the sacrament and their study of Reconciliation. This is a worthwhile day and we encourage ALL students to attend whether they are making their Sacrament of Reconciliation or not.
The Retreat Day will take place on Tuesday 5 November 2019, Week 4 Term 4, at Holy Family Church, Bugden Avenue, Gowrie. On the day your child will participate in many worthwhile activities, including preparing their stole, learning about different parts of the church, a reflection run by high school students from Saint Clare's College, creating artworks, meditation and a rehearsal of the sacrament.
Your child will be bussed to and from Holy Family Church, and will need to be at school at the normal starting time on that day. They will need to wear plain, sensible clothing and bring with them a hat, drink bottle and their recess.
On the day pizza for lunch will be provided for students. We ask that if your child has food allergies or does not like pizza, that you supply their own food on the day.
Thankyou for your continuing support.
Kind regards,
Kristy Everding
Acting Religious Education Coordinator
